Smoke detectors are a legislative requirement in every home across Queensland.

The laws for smoke detectors were changed as of 1st January 2022 and there are a minimum number of alarms required in all investment, leased and sold properties. As of 1 January 2027 all private dwellings are required to have smoke alarms also.
